Topics we cover

in our Career Expertise

#1

Leadership

Getting into the workforce for any job requires a certain level of leadership that will make one a strong candidate. In this lesson, we provide the 5 tips to becoming an effective leader and how to present that leadership throughout your job. The mentor leads conclude with leadership simulations, allowing participants to experience leadership skills they have learned.

#2

Resume-Building Workshops

In these workshops, mentor leads will go through the construction of a sample resume: the do's and don't's of creating the strongest resume to present at your job interview, power verbs, and real resumes that have been successful. Participants will walk away with a stronger resume that they can feel more confident with at their next job interview.

#3

Cover Letter Presentation

In this lesson, mentor leads will go through cover letter presentation - what is a cover letter, how to write a successful one and what free templates are available to use. Participants will get to work on their own cover letters and receive feedback from mentor leads as well as see sample cover letters they can use to tweak their own cover letters.

#4

Interview Skills

Mentor leads go through basic interview skills and allow for participants to practice their interviews with the leads, receiving any instant feedback from leads. Through this, we create a safe space for all participants to ensure all reach their highest potential and ace their next interview.
